Hiram Ward

Looking for information about Hiram Ward and his brother, John.

In 1810 Hiram Ward opened the first store in the Braintrim area.

Hiram Ward and family left area about 1820 and went to Burrillville, R.I.

As appeared in The Gleaner and Luzerne Advertiser on July 26, 1811: Independence - The Inhabitants of Braintrim and its vicinity, met on the 4th July to celebrate the Anniversary of American Independence, at the house of Hiram Ward, Braintrim.

Additional Information:
Pennsylvania, after the Douglases settled in Douglas Hollow, in 1835. Page 651. (sec. 3)
Hiram Ward and his brother, John, (Relatives of the Lovelton Wards) settled on land along the Susquehanna River, which became the site of the village of Laceyville, Pennsylvania.

I'm particularly interested knowing his parents and where they emigrated from. However, any information would be appreciated.

Also interested in the Place family – That lived in the Braintrim/Laceyville area. Most moved on to Ohio.

Thanks, Gil Ward
